Gil Shaw has been serving Arizona clients since 1983. After graduating from Pepperdine University School of Law, Gil returned to his native state.
Gil has tried over 100 cases to verdict before judges and juries throughout Arizona. In 1994, he obtained the largest jury verdict in Arizona, 1.4 billion dollars representing the founder of U-HAUL, in a landmark lawsuit. From justice courts to the Arizona Supreme Court, Gil knows the court room and how to effectively represent his clients. Gil has tried jury cases in every county in Arizona. Some of his successes in addition to the U-HAUL verdict include:
- 300,000 dollar verdict in wrongful termination case.
- 1.4 million dollar verdict on an oral contract case.
- Successful trial court injunction stopping a city election.
- Successful litigation insuring public vote on city initiative.
In addition to substantial court room experience, Gil has been a leader in providing low cost, effective legal services to clients for a variety of legal needs. From pioneering the low fee personal injury case (as little as 15% of recovery) to complete estate planning for less than $500, Gil is continually working to keep legal costs down. Affordable payment plans, flat fees, and the $40 consultation, all combine to give Gil’s clients legal services they can afford. Criminal cases, Divorce and Custody Disputes, all can be handled cost effectively yet with the skill Gil’s 27 years of experience can bring.
